Lyrics are in plain text, when you want a chord to appear above a lyric
you place it  [Am] inside the lyrics [Em] like this.

{title: Song Title} or
{t: Song Title}:
Define the song title, simply replace the words "Song Title" with your desired text.
{subtitle: Artist Name} or
{st: Artist Name}:
Define the song subtitle, simply replace the words "Artist Name" with your desired text.
{start_of_chorus} or  {soc}  {end_of_chorus} or  {eoc}: Define the chorus, shifts the chorus away from the page edge to make it stand out.
{start_of_tab} or  {sot}
{end_of_tab} or  {eot}:
Define the tab area, formats the text better than just plain text.
{comment: text} or
{c: text}:
Define a comment.
{comment_italic: text} or
{ci: text}:
Define the comment in italic mode.
{define: chord fret_offset s6 s5 s4 s3 s2 s1} old format

{chord: chord s1 s2 s3 s4 s5 s6 fret_offset}  new format

[']

This has the effect of adding a text comment to the Chord line above the lyrics, example, you would see the chords.

Am Em | D  G |

To add bar lines by putting ['|] in the lyrics where you wanted the lines to show.

{start_of_bridge} or  {sob} and {end_of_bridge} or  {eob}: Define the bridge.
